Available Positions
• Accountant
Seeking an accountant with minimum 2 years experience. Having good personal ethics, and ability to multi tasking is a must. Be able to work with minimal supervision. Perform functions such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Prepare Financial Statements, and Closing Books. Knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel sheets is a plus.
• Linux System Administrator
Provide Linux Systems Administration support for OC-3 Networks clients. Will also provide intermittent customer support and web updates. Position requires being on call. Applicant must have 3+ years experience as a Linux/UNIX system administrator. Hands on server hardware experience required, along with RAID configuration knowledge, Linux disaster recovery, Oracle experience and system programming a must. Should have strong knowledge of Apache, send mail, firewall, file server administration. Java, Perl, JSP and mySQL experience a plus.
• Web Designer / Part Time
Seeking for a part time cutting edge web designer with 3-5 years experience. The Web Designer will design and produce web projects of varying degrees of complexity. You should understand the design issues and objectives of a project, and be able to come up with a design vision that is clean and user-friendly. Types of projects will include websites, web applications, advertising banners, user-interface and more. You should be comfortable handling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting projected timelines and should be an organized, detail-oriented person.
Mastery of the following software is mandatory: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Flash, and Macromedia Dreamweaver. You should be able to design sites that work across multiple browsers, on both Mac and PC platforms. Substantial experience with Flash action scripting, HTML coding and CSS is required. Knowledge with MYSQL and JavaScript are a plus.
A portfolio and sample URLs/web sites required for application.
• Full Time .net Programmer
OC3 is looking for an experienced, full-time Software Developer to help develop applications. The ideal candidate will have experience programming web applications with Microsoft .NET and enjoy working in a technically challenging environment. The ability to work within a small, highly technical team and a desire to learn new technologies is a must. Most importantly, we are looking for a motivated self-starter with a high degree of initiative. Windows Server 2000 / 2003 and SQL Server are the data technologies of choice.
